Zrenjaninski edukativni centar

    Zrenjanin Educational Center is women's nongovernmental organization, established on January 25, 2002. Organization's mission is promotion and protection of human rights, esspecialy women's human right. Since the very beggining, activities of our organization are aimed on socio-economic improvement of women's position in our society. We are  activly  involved in combating all sorts of violence and discrimination against women. We openly cooperate with  institutions and organizations with similar scope of work. From 2003 we have ran preventive anti-trafficking campaigns. Main focus of these campaigns was raising awareness of youth in our region about the lures of trafficking. From 2005 we implement programmes of economic strenghtening of women which encourages women to make changes in their lives, induces self-employment as well as employment, because social problems of women are closely connected with their economical problems. All of the difficulties of women's position in patriarchal society, as unfortunately ours still is, esspecialy intensify in period of transition and economical crises.
   Zrenjanin Educational Center received Annual Award for significant contribution to improvement of women position in our society from Executive Council of Province of Vojvodina in 2006 .
